Leapster 2 vs. Didj (Leapfrog..)?
My soon to be 5 year old is wanting a Hand Held game and I'm thinking of one of these - the Leapster 2 or the Didj. I was wanting to know if anyone has had any dealings with both of these - I want to make the right decision. Reviews for both are mixed - some love them and some have had major problems. I don't want to go the route of a Ds until she has better control over how she treats things!
My 5 yr. old son received a Leapster L-Max a year and a half ago and loved it. He played with it for almost a year, but stopped for about 4 months, but picked it up again. My friend bought her son a Didj and she said that she and her son loves it. She thought it was better than a Leapster because she can see his progress online and it really teaches him vocabulary, spelling and math. The only thing is, they don't have many games at all. At my local Wal-Marts, they don't even carry the Didj system and games. I think that the Leapster 2 would be better since there are so many options on games and they learn too, even though there is no online option like the Didj. My son is asking for a Nintendo DSi this year though.
