Does anybody have a great method for cleaning chalk boards (black boards) using only water?
Do you use special sponge, microfiber rags, paper towels etc. Do you use a spray bottle, dip it in a bucket of water, 2 buckets of water?
Get a really high quality microfiber cloth. Use it dry over the entire surface to remove as much chalk dust as possible. If the board still needs cleaning...
Give the cloth a good shake out. Rinse it out in warm water and wring it out well.
Wipe the board with the damp cloth. Once the cloth is dirty, rinse it out well, wring it and continue until the board is clean. You can do it in one bucket of water, or use two if you are more comfortable - one for rinsing the dirty cloth, and one for the clean water you are going to use to wash down the board. Microfiber is pretty effective though, and unless the water gets really gross, one bucket should do it.
